There are many myths about weight loss that people still believe and are still following in their determined effort to lose weight. For this reason I wanted to provide a list of the common myths regarding weight loss and dieting and explain how The Fat Loss Factor program exposes each myth and reveals the real truth.
#1 It’s genetics that makes me fat! It’s true that some entire families are obese but it does not mean that you also have to be over weight. You only need to watch the series of TV’s Biggest Loser to see that person after person have proven that genetics have absolutely nothing to do with obesity. If you follow a program like The Fat Loss Factor you WILL lose weight and ‘genetics’ will not hold you back.
#2 I have to eat 3 meals a day to lose weight. This is another myth. In fact there is now sufficient evidence to prove that you are far more likely to lose weight if you have several smaller meals throughout the day (up to 5 or 7 smaller meals). The Fat Loss Factor explains how this works and what type of food you should be eating to turbo boost fat burning and weight loss.
#3 I don’t have time to follow a diet and exercise! Now come on you know this isn’t true. I lead a pretty hectic lifestyle but I have had no problem following the Fat Loss Factor program. Everything is set out by Dr Charles – you have a grocery list, recipes, complete exercise plan (with pictures and videos) and a step by step 141 page PDF Ebook. It just does not get any easier. The bottom line is – if you are not prepared to put in a little effort then you will never lose weight. I chose to lose weight slowly (so I followed the steady weight loss plan). By following this plan I only had to set a side a few minutes twice a week or more to do the exercises recommended by Dr Charles Livingston.
#4 I can no longer eat my favorite food and can only eat vegetables and fruit! This is another myth. In fact as part of the Fat Loss Factor program you can still eat pretty much what you like and that includes some junk food (you just need to know what and when and what foods to take advantage of). The great thing about the Fat Loss Factor and why it is so popular is due to the ‘Cheat Day’. On your cheat day you can eat whatever you like. This is what makes the Fat Loss Factor program so sustainable – by knowing you can pig out once a week you are far more likely to not slip up on your healthy days.
#5 I have to do hundreds of crunches and sit-ups to get a flat stomach! This is another myth. The best exercise to do to not only lose weight and get a toned body are whole body exercises. Dr Charles Livingston provides a complete guide to these types of exercises that you should be doing for optimum weight loss and fat burning potential. It is now widely recognized by leading fitness experts that if you want to kick start the body and metabolism into fat burning mode you want to be doing exercises that cause the EPOC effect. EPOC or Excessive Post Oxygen Consumption is one of the key factors behind the success of the Fat Loss Factor program. EPOC (alongside Dr Charles Livingston’s unique diet program) kick starts the metabolism and causes the body to continue burning fat up to 48 hours after the exercise has been completed.#6 My metabolism is slow – that’s why i’m fat! Again this is a complete myth. Many people blame their thyroid on the cause of their obesity – the truth is that you are in complete control over your metabolism. Although it is true that your thyroid is the main control center behind your metabolism and if you do develop hypothyroidism it can lead to obesity – the great thing about The Fat Loss Factor is that it guides you through losing weight even if you have thyroid problems (the secret lies behind you eating the right types of food for your thyroid and getting rid of the nasty toxins in your body).
#7 Fad diets keep the weight off! Ok I have to be honest – I have lost weight with other diets that could be classed as ‘fads’. The problem with the other diets was that I never ever kept the weight off, not once. I have literally tried every diet that you can think of. In fact prior to discovering the Fat Loss Factor program I had just finished trying to lose weight with Weight Watchers. I managed to last three weeks before I gave up. The reason for giving up was that I didn’t see any results in the three weeks and I had I felt the whole program was unachievable (I just couldn’t see myself never eating a little junk food or sticking with the diet on a long-term basis).

After discovering the Fat Loss Factor program the reason I am still on it is because I liked the fact that I was feeling more energetic right from the start. After completing the Master Cleanse and after losing a few pounds I was more determined to continue on the program. I also loved the fact that I could eat what I wanted once a week on my cheat day.
#8 Breakfast is the most important meal! You have probably heard this expression over and over again and many people are still following this outdated theory. In fact many people still feel that they should fill their plate with carbs, protein and a few healthy fats and then starve in the day or only eat lean meats and vegetables. In fact this has now been proven to be inaccurate. With the Fat Loss Factor program Dr Charles Livingston provides an in-depth explanation as to why skipping breakfast can dramatically increase fat burning and weight loss. He also explains the foods that you should be eating if you prefer to have breakfast.
#9 I feel hungry so I need to eat! This is another myth, in fact when you think that you are hungry you are actually thirsty. Many people only need a glass of water to satisfy their hunger cravings.
#10 I have a belly and I will never get rid of it! This is also a myth, in fact there are a variety of reasons why people get a big flabby belly. Among the causes are 1. Bad Diet, 2.Poorly Functioning Liver and 3. A Clogged up Colon. If you flush out the bad toxins, eat a balanced diet and perform specific exercises you are guaranteed to burn the fat away and get a toned and well defined body. Remember that every journey starts with one step.
